Elshandi Septiawan

Elshandi started his professional career as a Programmer at PT. Phoenix Kreatif Digital in 2022, while still studying Informatics at Universitas Padjadjaran. Working remotely from Riau for a Bandung-based client — a combination that teaches something often overlooked by junior developers: the quality of written communication matters more than typing speed. Nearly a year in that position, with exposure to OOP, JavaScript, and seven other technical skills.

While working, Elshandi tackled two academic projects at Unpad that shaped his foundation. First: Website Layanan Kantor “Layak” (2022) — an office services management system with attendance, leave requests, and reimbursement features. He served as backend developer, responsible for the API using Express.js. Then Website Layanan Absensi Kantor Indonesia with a Laravel stack and Scrum methodology. Two projects where specs weren’t set by professors — they defined their own scope and stack, with teams that had to coordinate work.

In 2023, Elshandi joined Generasi GIGIH 3.0 — an intensive Full Stack Engineer bootcamp run by GoTo Impact Foundation. Four months of curriculum covering JavaScript, Express.js, and four other technical skills. Not the kind of bootcamp where you just sit and listen — participants were rigorously selected from thousands of applicants, and the curriculum was built from GoTo group’s engineer hiring patterns.

In parallel with the bootcamp, Elshandi completed a series of self-directed certifications at Progate — Go, React.js, Node.js, Git, JavaScript, HTML & CSS — all within the Jul-Sep 2023 window. Plus MySkill Backend Basic Golang. A consistent pattern: in a period where most fresh graduates focus only on job hunting, he chose to keep building technical capacity while job hunting.

Since October 2023, Elshandi has been a Web Developer at PT Deptech Digital Indonesia (Contract, South Jakarta) — already 1 year 8 months. His primary stack is PHP and Laravel, while gradually applying the certifications he built outside formal work.

At Dartstudio, Elshandi is a Pegiat Circle. He joins on a project basis when an engagement requires full-stack execution capacity — particularly within his stack range: PHP/Laravel, Node/Express, or React. For a small studio like Dartstudio that intentionally doesn't scale headcount but occasionally needs additional execution capacity, Pegiat Circle like Elshandi is how we maintain our “small studio” principle while still delivering projects on schedule.
