Protagonist
Gaffy
Founder & Product Lead
Founder of Dartstudio. Designer and product thinker with a decade of UI/UX experience in global education tech, plus founder-side experience building his own products elsewhere. His focus: translating business complexity into experiences that make sense in users' hands.
Background
Gaffy started his career at Tjendana Bistro as a Graphic Designer — work that taught a discipline often lost in the digital world: every brochure, leaflet, and flyer has real consequences in the hands of the person holding it.
From there, he joined PT eBdesk Teknologi as UI/UX Designer, working across Jakarta-Bandung teams building web and mobile apps for enterprise clients. A year at eBdesk was enough to crystallize one thing he carries with him: design disconnected from implementation is design that doesn't live.
In 2016, Gaffy joined DynEd International — a global education tech company — as UI/UX Designer. In this role over a decade, he collaborated with international cross-functional teams designing learning product experiences used across many markets. Not just design: he also handled front-end prototyping (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), motion graphics production, and usability iteration based on real user feedback.
In parallel, Gaffy ran his own founder track. As Co-Founder of Twixel Indonesia, Information Technology Consultant at Sedekah Inovasi Digital, and Founder of Moscous Indonesia, he took on product design and UX strategy engagements — while learning the business-side things you don't learn from a designer's seat.
Since 2015, Gaffy had been collaborating on side projects with several people who would later become Dartstudio's core team. Different projects, different clients, but the same pattern: people tired of working for others with standards they had to keep compromising. After a decade of that kind of informal collaboration, in 2026 Gaffy initiated the formalization — Dartstudio as a proper studio, with standards they could finally set themselves.
At Dartstudio, Gaffy is Founder & Product Lead. He leads product thinking and serves as the bridge between client founders' business vision and engineering teams' technical execution — a role that requires both: mature design sensibility, and the direct experience of running a business yourself.
